Enameling is a technique used to decorate products using glassy coatings composed of a mixture of powdered minerals (sand, chalk, clay), fluxes (borax), and pigments, fused at a temperature of approximately 800-900 °C in a special furnace.
The selected product has been coated with a layer of 14k gold with a thickness of 0.5-1.5 µm, which serves a purely decorative purpose. The base metal of the product is 925 sterling silver.
The gold plating is additionally protected by an “electrocoating” process, which helps prevent rapid wear and discoloration.
